Happy March!

Wednesday, March 1, 2017

Well, hello there, March. February is the shortest month of the year, and I definitely felt that. It flew by, and now here we are. March.

In all honesty, February was a rather lovely month. Crazy crazy crazy, but I've finally caught my breath and can look back at all of the wonderful parts. Usually I loathe February with every fiber of my being, but this February wasn't dreary and depressing and boring. We've had really warm weather, and life has been far from boring. Sometimes I think I would have loved to have a bit of boredom! But I'm super thankful for all of the memories that February held.

I joined Burning Youth. We had a two day intensive rehearsal. Tons and tons of cupcakes were made. The Superbowl happened, and my cat failed horrifically in his guessing as to who would win. I sent tons and tons of Valentines and nearly died in the process, but had so much fun. THREE (!!!) people sent me snail mail and I could have cried tears of joy. I witnessed the most beautiful sunset I've seen in a really long time. Many, many doughnuts were consumed. Tech week came and went, and it was beautiful. My copy of Martin Hospitality came in the mail. I saw the worst play I think I've ever seen in my life. We learned an amazing new dance variation that I'm super pumped for. Two of my best friends and I hung out one night, eating ice cream and sitting on railroad tracks, and it was an absolute blast. February, you were good to me. ♥

March..well, I'm not sure what it's going to hold. My best friend and I have this funny little "everything bad happens in March" superstition, so here's hoping that that doesn't hold true, haha! I'm realizing that I really don't have any major plans for the month..so far, all that I have on the calendar are cramming schoolwork, and lots and lots of rehearsals. Hopefully there will be some time to add some fun things in as well!

D I S C O V E R I E S

-Not necessarily a discovery because I already knew about it but OH MY GOSH, In The Heights. I can't get over how flawless it is.

-ABBIE RELEASED ANOTHER SONG!! She's so cool.

-Krispy Kreme once again has apple doughnuts, and all is right in the world.

-Ed Sheeran released another song, How Would You Feel, and it's beautiful.

-The Newsies movie came out and I didn't see it which is probably a crime. Am I even a theatre kid anymore???
-Rachel posted about small talk, and it was genuinely one of the most relatable things I've read in a long time.

-Also, the video of Lin Manuel Miranda and Auli'i Cravalho performing How Far I'll Go at the Oscars?? Y'all, I was dying. Lin's rap was just perfect, Auli'i has an amazing voice, the flags in the background were the coolest effect, and the fact that Auli'i kept singing even as she got whacked in the head with a pole?? Wow.

-City of Stars. Just...City of Stars. I still haven't seen La La Land, which I consider to be my greatest fault in life at the moment, but it's such a gorgeous song.

- - - - -

F E B R U A R Y   P R O G R E S S

-Survive our show. A success, in every form of the word. That was a really great week.

-Keep up with my reading challenge. HA. I literally did not finish a single book, which is awful. I'm currently in the middle of rereading Deathly Hallows, which I admit is a really long book, but oh my gosh I cannot believe that I didn't read at all. I'm so behind, haha.

-Take part in InCoWriMo Success! Although I didn't do it every single day because hello, life, I did write over 28 notes/letters! It was a lot of fun.

-Finally put together a blogging journal. Yeah, no. Other things had to take priority this month, and that never happened. It's on the to-do list, and I'm hoping to do it this week!

-Make it a priority to write more often. Yes and no. I didn't write much at all at the beginning of the month, but lately I've been making a ton of progress on my novel, and I'm really excited. It's so crazy to see my baby finally being wrapped up.

- - - - -

R E S O L U T I O N S

-Make more progress on my reading challenge. One of the perks of not having quite as many rehearsals is that I should have more time to read!

-Exercise regularly. I'm really trying to get in great shape for Music Man. There's a ton of dancing, and I want to be on top of my game.

-Get back into Instagram. I really haven't been posting a ton, simply because I haven't taken many photos lately, and I want to change that.

-Keep sending snail mail. Just because InCoWriMo is over doesn't mean that we have to stop sending letters!

-Get that darn blogging journal together!

-Attempt to manage my time more wisely

-WRITE WRITE WRITE!!!!

T H I N K I N G

My mind is constantly whirring a mile a minute, and this month was no exception. I'm going to save most of my thoughts for more specific blog posts, but I've just been super nostalgic lately. I guess it's the fact that everything is winding down, people are graduating, things are changing...it's weird. And I don't like it. At all. But that's life, I guess. Also, in everything that I've been reading, love and forgiveness have been coming up a lot, so I suppose those have been on my mind as well.

- - - - -

B L O G G I N G

-Started the month off with a lovely January recap, and some rambles about things to come.

-Ten days later (ha) I talked about how crazy life is, and the best way for an introvert to survive that craziness.

-Then Valentine's Day rolled around, and we talked all about love, and what it really means.

-I JOINED BURNING YOUTH (!!!) and naturally had to flail about it.

-Tech week nostalgia barreled in, and I did a lot of reminiscing.

- - - - -

Overall, February was pretty stellar. ♥

- - - - -

So, how was February for you? Did you have a good Valentine's Day? What's the BEST thing that happened to you this month? What are you looking forward to in March? Anything interesting that you're flailing over? Have you seen La La Land? What music have you been listening to? Let's chat!

Love

Love.

Seeing as it's Valentine's Day, we're surrounded by the word. We're thrown candy and flowers and cards and pink, and told that it's the proper way to celebrate Valentine's Day. That if we don't have a boyfriend, then there's no point in celebrating Valentine's Day.

That could not be more wrong.

Valentine's Day is a day full of love. That's it. Love, plain and simple. When you're little, it's a day to wear lots of pink and eat lots of sugar and give your friends cards. When you get older, it becomes a day to eat chocolate, watch chick flicks, and wish you'd thought three weeks ago to make cards. When you get even older, it's a day to pick out a special card for your spouse. No matter which phase you're in, it's a day of love. It can be romantic love. But it sure as heck doesn't have to be.

I've always personally loved Valentine's Day. A day full of pink and sugar- what could be better? The past couple of years, I haven't celebrated quite as much as I did when I was younger, which is natural. This January, however, I decided that I was going to up my Valentine's Day celebration a bit. I'm going to be spending my Valentine's Day at a theater, preparing for our middle school show. I'll be at the theater from 9-6, which doesn't exactly leave a ton of time for anything, but I decided that I was going to go a bit crazy this year nonetheless.

Over the past several weeks, I've been working on making roughly 50 valentines- for all of the kids in our cast, for crew members, for friends both local and faraway, and for family members. It's been crazy, but it's been a lot of fun.

Because honestly? I think that Valentine's Day rocks.

Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love. To show people in your life how much you love and appreciate them. What could be better than that? I've had so much fun working to put together gifts and cards for people. See, Valentine's Day isn't a holiday like Christmas, where everyone feels like they have to have presents ready. A lot of people just forget about it. So you have such a fun opportunity to surprise them and make their day. I've been having so much fun making things to give to people that I know they aren't going to expect.

It's also made me think- why don't we do this more often? Why don't we make an effort to randomly make someone's day? That's so silly. Cards, small gifts, candy- they're not super large or expensive things to do. So why don't we do it more often?

I know that life is crazy. I feel you. But why not take a couple of minutes to do something that will make someone else happy?

Love people. Love them hard. Show the people around you just how much you care about them. Even if you haven't planned anything for today, leave a couple of pieces of chocolate lying around. Write a friend a quick note. Pick up an extra coffee on your way to work to give to somebody. Call up a friend and see if they want to meet up for dinner. Spread a little bit of love. And don't let it end once today is over. My challenge to you is to work on showing the people around you how much you love them 365 days a year. It will make you all happier, I promise.

Happy Valentine's Day, sweet friends. I love you all. ♥

Happy February!

Wednesday, February 1, 2017

Hello there, February. Long time no see. How on earth did you get here so quickly? One minute everyone is hanging up Christmas lights, the next we're crying as we take them down and try to organize our lives for the new year, and now we're being assaulted with high-priced chocolate and greeting cards the second we enter a store?? How rude of you to rush all of this on us. Could you please slow down a bit?

In case you can't tell, as usual, I'm having my monthly "time is passing so quickly that I'm going to lose my mind" freakout. It's fine, it's fine, ignore the ranting blonde. Nothing to see here.

January was a strange month in the fact that it passed so slowly, yet so quickly at the same time. You know what I mean? Like, Christmas seems like it was years ago, but it also doesn't seem like it should be February yet. I don't know, I should stop rambling.

Life in January was unbelievably crazy, but good. We had snow, which was beyond beautiful. I started my second semester of college classes, and they've been going well, aside from the fact that I got horrifically lost on the first day. Rehearsals have been piling up like nobody's business- I've spent about 50 hours rehearsing this month. It's overwhelming, but I honestly do love it. At the end of the day, the exhaustion is worth it, even though some days I really wish that I could just sleep, haha!

I'm both excited and terrified for February. Currently, it's stressing me out because we have a show in a few weeks, and the anxiety is SO real, but I'm also excited for Valentine's Day! I'm making cards like crazy, and it's fun- I can't wait to send them out.

I'm glad that February has some things to look forward to, because overall it's one of my least favorite months. It can be so cold and gray and monotonous. Thank goodness for theatre and half priced chocolate!

D I S C O V E R I E S

-My friend Abi is releasing her NOVEL!! It's coming out on February 4th, and I could not be more excited!

-I've become obsessed with the song You Matter To Me from Waitress. It's so simple and so beautiful.

-My incredible friend and fairy squad mother Abbie has released another song, and you need to go listen to it NOW. She'll give you waffles. Or just eat them I mean who knows.

-The Legally Blonde soundtrack has truly become my life anthem. I want to be Elle Woods when I grow up.

-I've been hardcore obsessed with Mary Higgens Clark novels this month. They are SO good- they keep you on the edge of your seat. The plot twists are insane!

-Elissa's vlog was absolutely amazing and I loved it to pieces.

-Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that Ed Sheeran released two new songs this month, and I was basically crying tears of joy. Castle on the Hill is basically the most beautiful thing and if you haven't listened to it yet, please leave this post and go listen to it right now.

- - - - -

R E S O L U T I O N S

-Survive our show. Enough said.

-Keep up with my reading challenge. I'm trying to read sixty books this year. I'm currently one behind, but I really want to catch up! If you want to keep up with my reading attempts, you can follow along on my Goodreads.

-Take part in InCoWriMo. InCoWriMo stands for International Correspondence Writing Month, and to take part, all you have to do is write a letter a day. I might not mail all of them, but I definitely want to write lotsssssss of letters.

-Finally put together a blogging journal. I've been so stressed over getting it perfect that I never actually started. I need to change that for sure.

-Make it a priority to write more often, regardless of whether or not I feel like it's good. I just need to get the words out.

- - - - -

B L O G G I N G

-We welcomed the month by talking about resolutions, and how to attempt to stick with them.

-Recapped life lately, and rambled about how beautiful snow is.

-I talked about 100 things I'd rather be holding than my phone.

-Obviously we had to flail over Abi's novel!

-Snail mail is the best ever, and we listed all of the reasons.

Also, Totally Graced hit 110 followers, and I was so excited, I almost screamed. You guys are the absolute best, and I cannot thank you enough for sticking around to listen to all of my crazy rambles. ♥

- - - - -

A bit of a short recap this month, but honestly my brain is so frazzled that this is the most that I can get out while still remaining coherent. So now, instead of talking, I want to listen instead. Tell me about YOUR lives!!! What have you been up to? How was January? Excited for February and that half-priced chocolate? Any goals? Do you like Ed Sheeran's new music? What have you been reading? TELL ME ALL THE THINGS!!!

January/February Favorites!

Saturday, March 12, 2016

HELLO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!! Aren't favorites posts fun? I love them. The last few months I haven't managed to get one up, though, so I'm making this lovely gigantic one with January AND February favorites.

Creating this post may have partially involved repeatedly asking my mom and my sisters, "What have I been obsessed with lately????" Because I have a terrible memory and literally can't even remember my own life. Go me.

Beauty:

I needed to try a new foundation, and ended up liking the Maybelline Fit Me in Porcelain. I had to switch because the Ivory TruBlend was too dark...I'm so pale, guys. It's terrible. Sometimes I feel like Porcelain doesn't even match. I really need to get a tan this summer. It's bad.

I got this eyeshadow trio in a Target beauty box, and I really like it! I'd never tried anything by Pacifica, but I love the quality. It has nice pigmentation, and it doesn't crease, either. Plus, THE PACKAGING IS SO PRETTYYYYY. Gah. Love.

I'd been wanting to try EOS in stick form for forever. I got the vanilla one for Christmas, and the mint for Valentine's Day, and I love them both. The consistency is great, and it's so much easier than the big sphere that's the typical EOS shape.

This Bed Head curling wand was a Christmas present, and since then I haven't used my old curling wand once. It gives your hair these absolutely GORGEOUS, natural curls, and they really hold, too. Plus, the glove that comes with it works wonderfully. Can't recommend this wand enough.

Books:

These are basically books & journals all wrapped up into one and I'm obsessed. I'm also quite proud because I've kept up with them quite well. And if you know me, I'm terrible at keeping up with ANYTHING.

I read The Old Man and the Sea for school, and I really enjoyed it. Well, I enjoyed reading it the first time, anyways. Then I had to write this essay on the symbolism within the book and started to lose my mind. But the book itself was good!

Randomness:

The obsession is hardcore, guys. I'm almost finished with season 1- it's so great!

One of my friends managed to get almost the entire high school at our co-op obsessed with Color Switch. Myself included. It's sooo addicting. I've kind of gotten sick of it now, but it was a definite obsession for a while.

I've absolutely loved watching this continuation to Full House. It's so cute, and since I grew up on Full House, seeing everyone grow up has been super fun.

It's taking over my life, guys. I'm involved with helping with a production of the show coming up soon, and I could not be more excited. It seems like lately all I ever am thinking about is Aladdin!

Music:

SURPRISE! The musical that has taken over my life. I literally cannot say enough good things about this show and its brilliance. It is honestly a piece of art.

Songs I've Been Loving:

Seasons of Love- Rent
Happy/Sad- The Addams Family
Kiss Me- Ed Sheeran
21 Guns- American Idiot (Original Broadway Cast)
When We Were Young- Adele
Safer- First Date
The Hanging Tree- Mockingjay
Homeless- Ed Sheeran

Happy March!

Tuesday, March 1, 2016

Happy March, everyone!! Yes, my header photo is of a pineapple. It is quite a beautiful pineapple, don't you think? (If you follow me on Instagram then you've already heard me babble about this beautiful aesthetic pineapple and I apologize for you having to hear it again.)

Y'know how I said in the beginning of my post last month that I was finally getting the hang of writing 2016 instead of 2015. Well, I failed at that. I thought I was getting the hang of it and the bam last night I wrote 2015 and the cycle has begun again. Go me.

February was a good month, although it was totally crazy. We have a show coming up in two and a half weeks, as well as another show in two months so I've had rehearsals for both. It's really stressful, but it's super exciting- I can't wait for the shows! They're going to be so much fun.

Some pretty fun things happened in February- Valentine's Day, swing dancing, I went back to ballet, Fuller House premiered, and I started To Kill a Mockingbird. It was a stressful month, but a good month. Lots of fun things and time spent with friends.

I'm interested to see what March holds- I still can't quite believe that it's March! Time really flies. I have some fun posts planned for this month, as well as the show coming up, of course. It's all very exciting!

~~~~~
I've got to admit, I did terribly on my February resolutions. Let's look at exactly how badly I did...
-Watch more Once Upon A Time - Fail. I've gotten super into NCIS, so that's my excuse. Once Upon A Time is kind of going on the back burner for now. I've gotten obsessed!
-Make a blogging schedule and stick to it - HA. I wish. I really need to do that this month..
-Read more often! - Nope. I did get read The Old Man and the Sea, as well as re-reading The Hunger Games  and starting To Kill a Mockingbird. I wanted to read more than that though, and I just didn't get a chance.
-Get caught up on school- ......... no comment.
-Finish redoing my walls- I didn't get to completely finish this, although I do have almost everything ready to hang. Hopefully I'll finish up that project this weekend!
-Stretch 3x weekly outside of dance class- I didn't keep track of exactly how often I stretched, but I've finally gotten my right split, and I'm close to my middle, so I'm really happy about that!
-Bake a recipe that I've pinned on Pinterest - I made cupcakes, and although the recipe wasn't from Pinterest, I got the idea to package them in plastic cups on Pinterest, which was super handy!
-Make a habit of journaling more often- Yes! I've been journaling a ton this month, and I've really enjoyed it.
~~~~~

Now for March's resolutions!

-Get further into NCIS

-Make a stricter blogging plan/schedule

-Get caught up on school

-Start sharing posts from my trip to New York

-Write 4 more chapters of my novel

-Start hand lettering again

-Get into a better exercise regimen

~~~~~
I'm determined to blog more this month; I only got eight posts published in February. Is it weird to blog a trip that I took three months ago? I never really shared much from New York, but I have tons of photos and stories that I'm really excited to share. I'm also hoping to get on a regular schedule, which will be good.
I have a question for you all- do you like the Dancing With The Stars recap posts? It's starting up this month, and I didn't know if I should keep them up. Let me know what you think below!
~~~~~

How was YOUR February? What are YOU looking forward to this March? What's YOUR opinion on the DWTS posts? What have you been up to lately? Do YOU have any resolutions? Share below!

10 Fun Ways To Spend Valentine's Day- Without A Date!! ♥

Friday, February 12, 2016

I know that a lot of teenage girls tend to get frustrated around Valentine's Day because they're single. Personally, though, I've always loved Valentine's Day- a whole holiday celebrating pink, chocolate, flowers, and making cards for friends?? I see no issue here.

Nevertheless, I know that some people don't share my feelings, and they spend the day moping because they don't have a boyfriend. SO, I'd like to prove to you all that you can have an absolutely fabulous Valentine's Day, AND be a single pringle.

BOYS ARE UNNECESSARY, LADIES!!!!!!

This has been Daily Rants With Grace Anne. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

  ♥ ~~~~~~ ♥

1. Have a movie night!! Valentine's Day is the perfect day to watch some chick flicks. My personal favorites are anything on Hallmark, and of course no movie night is complete without The Princess Diaries! Throwing in some Disney never hurts, either. (In other words, I'm giving you an excuse to watch Tangled for the seventeenth time. You're welcome.)

2. Plan a girls' night out with your friends! Make plans to go out for dinner, dessert, or to a coffee shop. Nothing's more fun than getting dressed up to hit the town with some of your favorite people! Plus, planning Valentine's Day outfits is always super fun.

3. Eat chocolate. Literally anything chocolate. Personally I suggest chocolate chip cheesecake with hot cocoa, but that's just an idea... (I'm trying to involve as much chocolate here as possible if you can't tell.)

4. Make handmade Valentine's Day cards! I love spending time to craft the perfect card for someone, it's so much fun. I'm planning to make my cards tomorrow; it's going to be fun! Put on some great music, grab a plate of cookies, and get crafting!

5. Read about your favorite fictional couple! What better day to obsess over your favorite romance than Valentine's Day?

6. Valentine's Day is the perfect weekend to forget about calories and splurge on sweets, so why not bake something? Cookies, cupcakes, brownies- yum! Plus, you can totally go crazy on the seasonal sprinkles. SPRINKLES ARE YOUR FRIEND, GIRL!!

7. Get Valentine's Day doughnuts from Krispy Kreme. This is a requirement. THEY'RE THE LEGIT BEST.

8. Paint your nails! Painting your nails a fun red or pink is a great way to feel a bit more festive. I can't decide what color to do mine, but they're in definite need of some sprucing up.

9. Spend some quality time with your cat. That's my plan. #crazycatladyforlife

10. JUST ENJOY THE DAY AND DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY!!! PLEASE don't waste the day obsessing over being single. I have way too many friends who do that, and they just make themselves miserable. Have a good day! Read a book, play a game, call a friend- enjoy life. Don't waste it obsessing over the lack of a guy in your life. Trust me, it's just silly.

Happy February!

Monday, February 1, 2016

Happy February!! One month of the year is now completed! That's weird. On the plus side, I've finally started to remember to write 2016 instead of 2015, so that's good!

January was an alright month. It felt kind of chaotic and harried, so I'm hoping to not have quite as much of that in February. I'm soooo behind on school, I really just want to catch up. We also had an insane amount of rehearsing to do, which I don't think is going to calm down as the next few months go on. I love it but gosh, it's stressful.

February is kind of a 'blah' month, to be honest. It's so cold and grey and busy and agh. I miss summer. I know I should be enjoying second semester- I have lots of friends who are graduating, and I want to enjoy the time that I have left with them. I suppose I'll have to start looking at the more positive side of things!!! ENJOY THE PRESENT!!!!!

Plus, February has Valentine's Day (also known as Consume As Much Chocolate As Possible Day), and I'm going to a swing dancing night this weekend, which should be fun. There we go, already working on positives!!!!! :D

-----

Okay, so monthly resolution time! I didn't do TOO badly for January..well...

-Watch more Once Upon A Time- oops. WHY DO I ALWAYS FORGET THIS?? Ugh.

-FINALLY CLEAN MY ROOM/CLOSET- GUYS. I DID IT. I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF MY CLOSET IS SO CLEAN AHHHH.

-Get 2-4 chapters of my novel finished- Completed!!

-Read at least one book that I've never read before- Completed!!

-Drink more water- ...failure

-Plan how I want to decorate my walls- Completed! It's going to be awesome...lots of Broadway ; )

Well, that's 4/6 of my monthly resolutions completed!! I'm pretty happy with that.

-----

Now for this month's resolutions. Hmm.

-Watch more Once Upon A Time
-Make a blogging schedule and stick to it
-Read more often!
-Get caught up on school
-Finish redoing my walls
-Stretch 3x weekly outside of dance class (I want to start stretching every day but I figured three times weekly was a good start
-Bake a recipe that I've pinned on Pinterest
-Make a habit of journaling more often

Hopefully I'll keep up with them!!!

What are you looking forward to this month??

February Favorites!!

Monday, March 2, 2015

That's right, ladies! My favorites posts are back! I'm really sorry that I didn't post favorites for December or January. January was super busy, so I never had time to put the December post together, and as a result of being so busy, I didn't really try any new products or shop in January, so I didn't HAVE any favorites! BUT, I'm back with these posts now, hopefully for good! :) They're so much fun haha. ;) I've learned that keeping a list of things I love throughout the month on my phone really helps the process, just for all of you other lovely bloggers out there. :)

But without further ado, let's launch into the favorites!

My first favorite for February was..BEANIES!!!! Agh! I really developed an addiction for them throughout the month haha. ;) I actually crocheted two beanies, and they turned out really well. But they're just so fun to add to an outfit. Best of all, it makes it look like you tried when you really didn't they're super cute. I like them with curls, or with two braids. One day when I wore a beanie with two braids, people kept telling me I looked like Anna from Frozen haha. :D

Speaking of headwear, my second favorite for February was headbands!!
I'm not really sure what it was, but over the month I just really loved adding cute things to my hair! It feels kind of springy, which sure is nice when the weather outside is so blah.

My mom got a coupon from Bath and Body Works for a free lotion, and we picked up this one in the fragrance Japanese Cherry Blossom. Now, I've mentioned this before, but I'm really sensitive to scents, and a lot of them give me a headache. So obviously, I was kind of wary getting this lotion, but hey, it was free. Might as well give it a try. Oh my goodness. Ladies, I am in LOVE. This lotion smells AMAZING!! I want to go and get everything they offer in this scent. I love to get a tiny amount and rub it on my hands, it just smells so fantastic. I am totally and completely obsessed with this now.
A very sweet friend of mine gave me this lip product a while back, and I've really been loving it this month. My lips get super dry in the winter, and this keeps them healthy and looking nice. I love it!

I actually bought this product several months ago, but I didn't like it at all at the time. So, away to the bottom of my makeup bag it went. Then, a couple weeks ago, I decided hey, why not give it another try? Now, I don't know what I did wrong the first time around, but this little concealer pen has totally saved my makeup life. I love it! It provides such amazing coverage, I really can't even believe it. It's almost TOO much coverage, and this is coming from a girl who would give her left arm for flawless skin. It's such a great product.

Now, this is kind of a very general favorite, but over the past several months, I've been obsessed with eyeshadow. I know, I know, I'm a makeup freak, why am I just now obsessed with eyeshadow? I really don't know why, but I just never liked it very much. It didn't seem to help my appearance that much, and I kind of just didn't bother. But like I said, over the past few months I've really gotten into it, and now I'm totally in love. These two pallets above were actually just a dollar each from Walgreens, and they're great quality.
Yes, this pallet is from Claire's. Don't judge me. It's actually one of my favorites, the colors are great and they blend really well. Hey, should I do a post on my eyeshadow collection? I have several different pallets, and I could review them all for you. Opinions?

So, that's all for my beauty favorites. Now, on to the non-beauty favorites!

I've done this before, but my obsession for Sour Patch Kids has been refueled over the course of the month. I got a 1 lb bag for Valentine's Day, and I'm seriously obsessed with them. :D

Music-wise, I've been loving a couple different things.
I really love Taylor Swift's song, Style. It's so catchy and fun!!! Love it. :) I also love Ed Sheeran's song, Thinking Out Loud. Those have been two of my favorite songs this month. I'm also in love with the Wicked soundtrack, but that's nothing new. I've been obsessed with that for the last year! :):):)

TV Shows:
I really adore murder mysteries, and two of my favorite shows this month have been Murder She Wrote, which is an older show, and Death In Paradise, which is by BBC. Oh my gosh, Death In Paradise absolutely kills me...I get very emotional watching that one haha. BBC, why must you kill me?? Have any of you watched Death in Paradise? Comment below!!

So, what have your favorite things been this month? :)

Little Moments :)

Thursday, February 19, 2015

Hello everyone! I was flipping through my camera, and found a bunch of pictures from the past week or so that I never got around to sharing with you all. :)

Valentine's Day Breakfast!! Yum! :) My doughnut had a little tumor-thing haha. ;) I love Krispy Kreme's Valentine's Day doughnuts. They're some of the best doughnuts that they have all year, at least in my opinion! <3 And isn't the mug hilarious? I love it. It's so me!!

Valentine's Day decorations! Cute "LOVE" blocks and candles. :)

I recently got these pajamas from Forever 21, and I'm absolutely in love. They're so comfortable, and so cute!! The shorts have little cats all over them, and the shirt is just hilarious. These are definitely my new favorite pajamas! I think that they were around twelve dollars, which is a great price for such cuteness! See, the cats are already being drawn from all over ;)

Flowers!! My dad brought us home some flowers on Valentine's Day, and the lighting was so good that I had to take some fun pictures. :)

We found this shirt at JC Penney for ten dollars, I just love it! You all know that I'm a Disney freak, and Cinderella is actually one of my dream roles on Broadway. :) Plus, I also have a *teensy* shoe obsession!! This shirt is perfect!

Well, I hope that you've enjoyed this little post! It's just kind of a post full of randomness, but hopefully you've found it entertaining! :)

Happy Valentine's Day! + Easiest Snack Ever

Saturday, February 14, 2015

Hello everyone! Happy Valentine's Day! :) I know that some people get down in the dumps about Valentine's Day because they're single, but honestly, I really love the day. You get to eat food, spend time with family and friends, and make funny cards! I see nothing wrong with this picture.

So, I felt bad that I hadn't baked/made anything food-wise for Valentine's Day. I kind of procrastinated it, big shock there and I couldn't really find a recipe that I just LOVED. But today I was like, you know what, I need to bake SOMETHING! So, I went with something super simple, that is virtually impossible to mess up. (Although I could have burnt the chocolate, so hey, I did something right!! :D )

Chocolate Covered Pretzels!

I kind of am in love with chocolate covered pretzels. Like, they are amazing. SO, I decided to make some today! I really need to make them more often. :D

Literally all that you need are pretzels, white chocolate, and sprinkles. The sprinkles are optional. Wait, why would sprinkles be optional? Why WOULDN'T you use sprinkles?

USE THOSE SPRINKLES, GIRL!!

.....aaaaaanyways. So if you want, you can dye the chocolate with food coloring, but I decided that I wanted to keep it white, to highlight the sprinkles.

So, pour aaaaaaaaaaall of the white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl, and then melt them according to the instructions on the bag.

You have your delicious melted chocolate, now you just dip! I don't have any photos of me dipping the pretzels, because I was kind of wrist-deep in white chocolate goodness. So, unless I wanted to get chocolate on my camera, photos just weren't happening.

Honestly, It's easiest just to dip them with your fingers. It's insanely messy, but it works. You have to work fast, otherwise your chocolate will harden and you'll have to melt it again. Not that I'm speaking from personal experience or anything. :P

You also have to pour the sprinkles while the chocolate is wet, otherwise that won't work either. I actually already knew that!! Woo hoo, ten points to me! :D

I just let mine dry on wax paper. Let's be honest, they aren't exactly gorgeous, but hey, they're delicious!

Once they're dry, enjoy!!! I just had to take a cutesy picture of them haha. Note my nice little heart bowl. I have to at least try to look like a competent blogger here.

Well, hopefully you'll try my delicious Valentine's Day snack! I love making these year round- you just change the sprinkle color!!

I hope that you've all had a great Valentine's Day! :) <3

Cute Valentine's Day Gifts!

Tuesday, February 10, 2015

Hello everyone! Wow, Valentine's Day is in FOUR days! I can't believe it! With that in mind, I've compiled a list of some cute V-Day gift ideas. :) These are some of my favorite gifts, that I think anyone would love to receive!

These rings are perfect for Valentine's Day! They look so cute all stacked together. You can find these at Forever 21 for around three dollars.

I love color-themed gifts, and I think that it would be adorable to put a bunch of items like these ^^ in a bag with a tag "Think Pink!" I just included a Baby Lips, a lip gloss from H&M, some hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works, and a cute little pink bear. :)

In my opinion, EOS are always a go-to for a gift! I love the EOS cucumber hand lotion, and I think it's super cute to add a V-Day themed hair tie around it for some holiday flair. And of course, we always need lip balm! I am obsessed with the Rachel Roy limited edition EOS, I kind of stocked up so that I would have them for a nice long time!

Now, what girl doesn't love jewelry on Valentine's Day? I think that this heart necklace is super pretty, and it would make a great gift!
Speaking of jewelry, a locket is a classic Valentine's Day gift. My grandma actually gave me this one, and I love it. :) (Oh, and if you're wondering, the jewelry tree pictured is from Target).

Well, I hope that this has given you some more ideas for Valentine's Day! What do you like to give for gifts? Comment below!

This is so easy, it's basically self-explanatory. Literally all that you have to do is take a piece of paper, write L_VE on it, and attach an EOS lip balm! It's a great gift to give to your friends, because I mean really-who doesn't love EOS?

Valentine Idea For Friends + Lazy Saturday OOTD!

Saturday, February 7, 2015

Hello, ladies! So, today I had TWO posts that I wanted to share, so I'm combining them all into this one! I'm super excited to share this fun Valentine's Day idea for your friends, and I had this really cute Lazy Day OOTD that I also am excited to show you all!

So, if you ask me, Valentine's Day really seems to sneak up on us. Before you can turn around, it's February, and by then we only have TWO measly weeks until Valentine's Day! It always seems like I'm scrambling around at the last minute trying to come up with ideas for cards or gifts for my friends on Valentine's Day. This is a really quick, easy idea that I also think is really sweet and thoughtful.

Disclaimer: I am not an artist, nor do I claim to be. I'm much more comfortable creating pictures out of words than I am drawing them out! Thus, the following images are not exactly beautiful. Trust me, I'm fully aware of it. :P

14 Reasons I Love You!!

So, I've seen this idea around for lots of different holidays, but I decided to put a Valentine's Day spin on it! After all, Valentine's Day is on February 14th, so why not come up with 14 reasons that you love someone?

Supplies-wise, all you need for this gift is some regular white paper, and some bright colored pens. You could really use anything here, (Sharpies, markers, colored pencils, etc) but I kind of have an obsession with colored pens, so I decided to use them.

So, first, you make a pretty heading (to the best of your artistic abilities ;) !), preferable with lots of color!!! I liked adding some little hearts around the heading as well.

Next, just start making your list!!! It's super easy, and the person that you give it to is sure to love it. After all, who WOULDN'T love a list of why somebody loves them? It's super sweet. :)

I also wanted to share with you all this OOTD!! I've never really done OOTDs before, so if you like this post, comment below and let me know!

This outfit is super cozy and comfortable, and it's also really cute! It's pretty unusual for me to look cute at home, usually I just wear anything comfortable. Last weekend though, my mom found this Lion King sweatshirt at Wet Seal, and I fell in love! You all know that I absolutely adore the Lion King, so whenever I see something that involves the Lion King, it's quite hard for me to resist buying it!
Anyways, here's where I bought everything..

Sweatshirt- Wet Seal
Leggings- Forever 21 (Let me just say, oh my gosh. F21 leggings are the best! They are sooo comfortable, I love them.)
Beanie- I actually crocheted this! I was quite proud of myself haha ;)

So there you have it, my lazy day OOTD!

Well, that's all for today! If you liked this post or have anything to say, please comment below, I love hearing from you all! And if you make your own 14 Reasons I Love You, comment a link below :) Thanks for reading!
