August was weird. Like, in a way I feel like it IS time for September, but on the other hand it feels like I just sat down and wrote my Happy August post. LIFE IS JUST A GIANT CONTRADICTION AND I CAN'T HANDLE IT.
I just want to be four again. I'm not okay with this Junior year thing. At all.
(my Paper Comets girls will get this...;) )
Longing for kindergarten aside, Junior year actually is going fairly well so far. My class load is a little lighter this year, because I got a lot of my horrifying classes like anatomy out of the way when I was younger, so that's been really nice. I'm still getting used to the fact that the majority of my friends have graduated, which hasn't been fun. College is way less terrifying than I thought it would be- the classes actually aren't killing me, which is good. Aside from the fact that I'm pretty sure I bombed an English test on Wednesday...but we won't talk about that right now.
Besides the school aspect, August was pretty chill. I don't remember too many interesting things that happened. We took a trip to the lake, which was really nice. My sister and I had photoshoots, which were both fun and stressful. The AMAZING magazine, Paper Comets, launched (CHECK IT OUT!!). I filmed my first vlog! I attempted to teach myself to brush-letter, and it's actually gone alright- I HAVEN'T FAILED. A first when it comes to artistic endeavors. I went to a giant book sale, got some epic free makeup, and helped to paint my sister's bedroom. Overall, I'd say it was pretty great!
I also had a fabulous time celebrating the Blogiversary month. I'm sad that it's come to a close- it was a lot of fun! Thank you so much to everyone who followed along on the craziness- you guys are the BEST! ♥♥♥

// Figure out this evil subplot issue- Heh. Nope. My novel is absolutely killing me right now, guys. It's awful. I'm not killing characters, they're killing me.
// Finish all of the wall hangings for my room- Sigh. Fail fail fail.
// Read 4-5 new books (toning it down bc school is evil)- Lord I failed. I'm blaming it on Sense and Sensibility. IT'S SO LONG.
// Don't die going back to school Unless this is my zombie typing the post, (which it totally could be at this point tbh), I'm still alive, so that's a win.
// Spend less time on my phone- I don't really know how to judge this but yeah probably a fail.
// Start brainstorming Christmas gifts so I don't die in December I'll give that half credit. Did I try to come up with gifts? Yes. Did it actually go anywhere? No. XD
// Don't kill another succulent (Yes one died and yes I almost cried) GUYS. MY SUCCULENTS HAVE BEEN DROPPING LIKE FLIES AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. Only one is left, and it looks pretty peaked tbh. I'm a plant murderer. Send help.

September should be a very full month. I have some really fun plans coming up, as well as the auditions for this year's musical. I'm really excited for it- lots of dancing!!
I'm not positive yet what September will hold, blogging wise, but I know that it's going to be awesome- I have a whole list of post ideas, it's just a matter of picking them! I'm looking forward to a fun month. ♥

DeleteI feel the same way with my book Dragons! Not that I don't know what to do, I just feel completely stuck. I was supposed to finish it this summer, but that didn't happen, surprise, surprise.
ReplyDeleteThe first day of school always sucks because it's just syllabus syllabus syllabus do you all know the tardy policy do you all know the dress code do you all know the things we've been drilling into your brains for all your middle-high school education? But now that I'm on the second day and I'm actually starting the education part of it, I'm excited. Even though I'm worried about the difficulty levels of my classes (you're lucky to have an easy-ish year), I am liking getting back into academic stuff.
And I'm just going to reiterate that your blog design is so aesthetically pleasing and polished
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one! Ugh. I hate this feeling but I can't seem to break out of it.
DeleteOh my lord I hateeeeee syllabus day. It's so boring. Some of my classes are actually somewhat interesting this year, which is nice.
Ahhh, thank you so much, Abby!!! ♥
"I hate using them because planners mean school and school means tears." <<< That's probably the funniest thing I've read all day and couldn't agree more. It's great that you had such an amazing month and I hope it continues! XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteXD You get me. I hope that you have a wonderful month as well!!!
