and i'm not quite ready
not ready to say goodbye
not ready for people to leave
everything ends all at once
and i'm just not ready
not ready to say goodbye to classes full of laughter
study hall starbucks runs
inside jokes
when something becomes such an integral part of your life
how can you say goodbye?
i'm glad that it all happened
i wouldn't trade it for the world
i just wish it wasn't temporary
that it could last forever
maybe one day i'll be ready
or at least it will be a little easier
but that day is not today

I promise that I'm not a complete emotional mess or anything, haha. Just a bit of ramblings as I put together nine different graduation gifts and try to ignore the fact that graduation is on Saturday. ♥
i'm not ready either, man...i'm going to have to say bye to all my senior friends...and then I'm going to be a senior myself!! ??!
ReplyDeleteIT'S JUST ALL SO WEIRD. I can't wrap my head around it yet.

DeleteI"M GOING TO BE LEAVING! :( This post puts leaving high school in such a great perspective. It makes me so sad to read this. On a positive note I will get to experience new things and start to make a life of my own.

DeleteAw, Grace, this sounds hard. Moving on is hard. I don't feel ready for a lot of things either. It's a good thing that God is going ahead of us, preparing us for the good works He has in store!
ReplyDeleteWhat did you do for grad gifts, btw?
Moving on is SO hard. Change is hard. But God has good things in store!!
DeleteOh my goodness, I was so happy with how they turned out. I'll send you some photos on Instagram:)
haha, yeah, i know exactly how you're feeling. just recently some of the people in my life who really meant a lot moved like 3 hours away to some for distant town. and it was really sad. but moving on is something that i've been thinking about a lot these past few weeks, and hey, in ten years, i know that i will look back and say, "Hey, everything worked out great in the end." and so i guess right now i'm just trying to put all my trust in God and have faith in His promises. <3
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's so, so hard. It sounds like you have a really great perspective, though:) <3
